The Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's (now a part of Hilarity for Charity)
HFC and The Youth Movement Against Alzheimer’s (YMAA) have joined forces to engage and activate more young people in our movement to change the trajectory of Alzheimer’s Disease. Together, we are elevating the national conversation around Alzheimer’s, brain health, and prevention to drive awareness and inspire change.
We are a group of young individuals committed to changing the perception of Alzheimer’s Disease. Our members can be found in high schools and college campuses across the nation creating a grassroots movement to seek the cure. We are youth advocates. We are youth caregivers.
The Youth Movement Against Alzheimer’s (YMAA) empowers and activates high school and college students across the U.S. to change the trajectory of Alzheimer’s disease through education, awareness, and collective action. Our aim is to reduce the stigma associated with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia by promoting disease education, providing opportunities to connect and support those affected by the disease, and inspire a generation of youth to take action to protect their own brain health by learning about and practicing brain healthy habits. We also recognize the growing community of students who are providing or helping to provide care to someone living with Alzheimer’s and aim to support caregiving youth with a range of resources and programs.
