SEA Work Session 3

Dear UCLA SEA Students

We will meet this coming Tuesday evening on Zoom starting at 6:15 pm. The link for the Zoom session is https://ucla.zoom.us/j/4334738531

In the first part of our session Tuesday, in the Breakout Rooms you will make a presentation to your organization of the results of your SWOT analysis. Hopefully, you have done enough research to tell them something about themselves that they did not know already. So, be ready to talk about what research you did to arrive at your conclusions.

To be ready for that presentation, please submit your SWOT template and the attached report by Monday midnight.

We will then launch the brainstorming phase of our academy in which you work together to come up with at least three potential venture ideas. We ask that you summarize those ideas in the attached worksheet for venture ideas. Note that on these worksheets, we ask you to describe who you think the customers for these venture ideas might be. We do not expect you to have answers at this point. Instead, we encourage you to use these worksheets to plan the market research to be done over the following two weeks to gather data on each of these venture ideas.

We encourage you to think up at least three venture ideas to encourage you to think broadly and not get stuck on one particular idea.

We have attached the venture idea worksheet for you to have handy in Tuesday's session. Do not start filling it out now.
